Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cliff Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tourney Champ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cliff Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tourney Champ! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Champ scores with a decent looking hook. Cliff Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anderson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Champ's waist but Champ gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anderson off to one side. Anderson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Anderson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Anderson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Anderson throws a leg kick and Champ counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Anderson thinking. Anderson misses the shot to the body. Anderson swings for the body but Champ moves out of range.
Anderson is looking to clinch. Champ moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Anderson misses with a right hand and Champ cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Champ tries to clinch up. Anderson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Champ is looking for the big counter here. The fight stays on the outside here - Champ looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Anderson lands a nice looking body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Anderson throws a hook but Champ avoids it easily. Anderson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Anderson clobbers Champ with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Champ clinches up with Anderson and pushes him back against the cage. Anderson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Anderson breaks from the clinch.
Anderson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anderson's corner calls for a 1-2. Anderson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Champ tries to clinch but Anderson is having none of it. Anderson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Anderson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Anderson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Champ counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cliff Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anderson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Champ's half guard. Champ is trying to stand back up but Anderson is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. Champ tries to get to full guard but Anderson has control of the leg. Champ wants to get back to his feet.
Anderson is working for a submission of some sort.

Anderson moves nicely into side control. Anderson is staying tight to Champ's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson trying to control the position but Champ is working away. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Champ can do anything to dispel that myth. Anderson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Anderson decides to stand back up. Anderson catches Champ with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Anderson with a lazy takedown attempt and Champ makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Jab by Champ. Champ lands a jab to the head.

Anderson is rocked! Tourney Champ is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Oh Anderson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Anderson throws a jab but it's blocked by Champ. Anderson gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Champ gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tourney Champ! In his post fight interview, Tourney Champ started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. Cliff Anderson was interviewed post fight and said 'well guys you can't win them all, but I will tell you that I will be back, stronger and more determined than ever.'.
