Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Wobinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack McGuinness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Wobinson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Wobinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack McGuinness! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wobinson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jab from McGuinness. Wobinson takes a body punch but keeps moving. Wobinson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McGuinness finds it's way round the side to connect with Wobinson's head. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McGuinness has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wobinson is defended easily by McGuinness. McGuinness avoids a kick to the body.
McGuinness dips to his left and cracks Wobinson with an uppercut! Wobinson tries to close the distance and clinch but McGuinness swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jab, jab by McGuinness - just one landing. Wobinson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McGuinness defends well and Wobinson ends up having to push McGuinness into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. McGuinness throws a right and a left that both miss. McGuinness scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGuinness tries to bum rush Wobinson with a series of wild strikes but Wobinson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wobinson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wobinson lands in his opponent's guard. Wobinson stopping the sweep attempt from McGuinness. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wobinson slips nicely into half guard. McGuinness keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wobinson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. McGuinness is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wobinson is working for a kimura but McGuinness is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wobinson seems to be working for a kimura but McGuinness defends the submission attempt. McGuinness is trying to stand up here but Wobinson is controlling him well. McGuinness is not content to let Wobinson control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGuinness can do anything to dispel that myth. Wobinson works his way into side control. Wobinson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. McGuinness is looking to regain half guard here but Wobinson keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGuinness is still trying to improve position. McGuinness wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Wobinson seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! McGuinness is tapping! Wow, great finish!
