Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cu Chulainn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Bartoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chulainn might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Blood of Cu Chulainn. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bartoo's choice of entrance music: Drowning Pool - Bodies. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartoo throws a sloppy head kick
so Chulainn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bartoo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Chulainn won't allow Bartoo to get back to his feet.

Bartoo wants to stand and escape but Chulainn is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bartoo tries to roll over but Chulainn keeps him under control.

We've been hearing good reports from Chulainn's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Chulainn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bartoo is trying to stand up here but Chulainn is controlling him well.

Chulainn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bartoo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bartoo is rocked!
Chulainn winds up and cracks Bartoo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bartoo is still in real trouble! Can Chulainn finish him?

Chulainn is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Bartoo is hurt! He's hurt bad - Chulainn fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Bartoo from any more punishment! Congratulations to Chulainn! Great finish!
