Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Burl Hobbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stan Feder!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Feder shoots for a double leg takedown but Hobbs sprawls well. He's pushed Feder's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hobbs half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Feder gets a takedown into half guard.
Hobbs landing a few short strikes.
Hobbs throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Feder manages to pass to side control.
Hobbs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hobbs is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hobbs is trying to escape the position but Feder is controlling the position.

Feder wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hobbs, who protects the arm well.

Feder decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hobbs to his feet.
Feder fails with the takedown.
Hobbs appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A head kick by Feder misses
and Hobbs counters with a two punch combo.

Feder fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hobbs to the ground. Feder is now in Hobbs's guard.
Hobbs tries to strike from the bottom.

Feder trying to control the position from guard on top but Hobbs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hobbs doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Feder wants to control from the top but Hobbs keeps moving.

Feder decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Feder has his takedown stuffed

and Hobbs moves into the clinch.

Feder tries for a takedown but Hobbs manages to get underhooks.
Feder wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Feder has had enough of the clinch but Hobbs keeps him there for the moment.
Feder jumps guard but Hobbs stands there with Feder around his waist. Feder gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Feder has Hobbs pressed against the cage, preventing Hobbs from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hobbs takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like Burl Hobbs has been cut.

Feder jumps guard and drags Hobbs to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hobbs tries to stand but Feder is controlling from the bottom.
Hobbs throws an elbow that misses. Feder uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hobbs's guard. Nice move by Feder!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hobbs is striking off his back. Feder thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Feder closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hobbs quickly recovers to half guard.
Stan Feder has got the better of the ground game so far.
Feder slows the pace down in half guard.
Feder's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Feder seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hobbs does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Feder passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hobbs!
Hobbs can't escape the position.
Feder tries to control but Hobbs wriggling away.
Hobbs manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Feder controlling the pace.

Feder blocks the strikes from Hobbs.
Feder perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Feder decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Feder gets a takedown into half guard.
Feder prevents Hobbs from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Feder is trying to control. Hobbs wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Feder escapes and gets back to his feet.
Hobbs stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hobbs wants it to stay on the feet.
A punch combination from Feder misses.
Hobbs tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Feder manages to circle out of the way.
Hobbs motions for Feder to come forward. Hobbs throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Feder darts in looking for a takedown but Hobbs gets double underhooks and turns Feder into the cage.
Feder tries to clinch up.

Hobbs misses with a double jab.

Feder rushes Hobbs and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Feder is trying to maintain a safe position but Hobbs gets an underhook and turns Feder into the cage.
Feder jumps guard but Hobbs turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Burl Hobbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stan Feder.
Feder goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hobbs prevents it.
Feder is breathing heavily.
Hobbs is working for takedown but Feder is calmly controlling the position for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Stan Feder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Feder misses with a takedown attempt - Hobbs sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Feder bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hobbs is looking to regain half guard here but Feder keeps moving and retains side control.
Feder moves into full mount!

Hobbs is trying to escape the mount.
Feder has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Feder cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hobbs is squirming around, avoiding Feder's attempts to control the action.
Feder sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Hobbs is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Feder looking to control but Hobbs is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hobbs is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Feder looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Hobbs tries to reverse the position but Feder maintains control.
Feder controlling from mount.

Feder has control of Hobbs's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hobbs regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Feder controlling the position easily from mount.
Feder landing strikes, looking to finish!
Feder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Feder breaks from Hobbs's wrist control and lands an elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Feder looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Hobbs covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
