Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooper comes to the cage accompanied by s.mouse - slap my elbow. Gold has chosen Goldust theme as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Cooper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
37 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jamie Gold! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gold keeps the fight on the outside. Cooper's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Cooper duly obliges. The fight moves into the clinch position. Gold throws a punch but it's blocked by Cooper. Cooper creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gold's defenses. Cooper lands an elbow inside. Cooper misses with a punch to the body.
Cooper comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Cooper blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Gold lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Cooper lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Gold. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A nice glancing elbow lands by Cooper. Gold with a knee to the head.
It looks like Charles Cooper has been cut. Gold lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cooper or not. A short right hand to the side of the head by Gold. Gold fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Gold changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cooper fights it off and pushes away nicely.
No joy there for Gold, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cooper wants to clinch but Gold slips to the side and Gold counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper takes the fight into the clinch. Cooper misses with an elbow over the top. Cooper pushes off an throws an elbow but Gold leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. I was talking to Cooper's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gold just misses with a elbow thrown towards Cooper's brow. Cooper lands with a short shot to the head. Gold struggles to land a body shot inside as Cooper controls his hands.

Cooper lands a nice elbow. Cooper lands a left hand.
Cooper lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Gold takes an elbow to the temple.
Gold is rocked!
It looks like Jamie Gold has been cut. Cooper scores with a shoulder strike. Gold is still on wobbly legs! Can Cooper finish him? With the two fighters working up against the cage, Cooper just misses with a elbow thrown towards Gold's brow. Nice elbow from Cooper. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cooper throws a big uppercut that drops Gold! More strikes from Cooper and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Gold lies dazed against the cage as Cooper celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Cooper! Charles Cooper spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
