Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Back Then as his entrance music. Mike Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Wallace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Jones! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a right hand that Wallace ducks under and follows up with a left that Wallace also avoids with ease. Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wallace moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wallace. Wallace seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Wallace has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Extreme MMA (7 Elites $250/week) in the buildup to the fight. Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wallace counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wallace is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Wallace prevents Jones from standing back up.
Wallace seems to be looking for submissions.
Jones felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones is looking to escape. Wallace seems to be working for a kimura but Jones defends the submission attempt. Wallace has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jones defend it? Wallace steps over the head and cranks it - Jones is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Wallace!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ryan Wallace! Ryan Wallace made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I want Jared Tillion. It should be a good fight.'.
