The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish misses with a leg kick.
Kahric tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fish sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kahric somewhat.
Fish wants to land a leg kick but Kahric is out of range.
Kahric fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kahric has his takedown stuffed
and Fish counters with a left to the body.
Jon Paul Fish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samir Kahric.
Nice shot lands for Fish.
Fish lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kahric misses with a takedown attempt
and Fish cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kahric looks winded!
Fish throws a chopping leg kick but Kahric manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fish lands with a straight right. Kahric didn't see that one coming.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Fish.
Kahric moves away from the strike by Fish.
Fish throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kahric is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fish drops Kahric with a straight right hand, right on the button! Fish follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Paul Fish!
Jon Paul Fish opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
