Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keith Rack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Monsun Moon! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rack manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Moon scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Rack looking to hit a scissor sweep but Moon is one step ahead there. Moon wants to control from the top but Rack keeps moving. Moon is pushing down on Rack's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rack is fighting to maintain full guard but Moon has managed to sneak the leg through. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rack is staying active underneath Moon, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moon on the ground. Rack wants to get back to full guard but Moon has passed into side control. Moon has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rack is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Moon yanks on the arm and Rack is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Moon.
