Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Orval Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emily Play (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Orval Slater! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Emily Play! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Play fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Slater checks it well. Play has Slater up against the cage in a clinch.
Play is trying to pull guard but Slater turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Slater wants to break the clinch but can't.
Slater wants to break free but Play has control.
Play is looking for a takedown. Play jumps guard but Slater stands there with Play around his waist. Play gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Orval Slater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emily Play. Slater misses with a hook to the ribs.
Slater has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slater throws an elbow that misses.

Slater goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Slater is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Play gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Slater prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Slater working hard to break the clinch. Slater tries to circle away but Play has him pinned against the cage. Play is looking to take this one to the mat. Slater lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Slater perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Play looks like he's trying to stand up.
Play is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Slater thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Play's head. Play trying to control but Slater postures up.
Play is trying to get back to full guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slater keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Slater gets caught napping as Play dives in and scores a takedown. Slater manages to retain guard. Slater looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Slater is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slater thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Play's head. Play wants to get back to full guard but Slater has mounted him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Play tries to hold on but Slater postures up. Slater controlling from the full mount. Play tries to lock up and control but Slater gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Slater controlling the position easily from mount. Slater breaks from Play's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Slater content just to control the position here. Play working to try and regain half guard.
Slater sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Play is working to get back to half guard.

Slater checks a leg kick. Play darts in looking for a takedown but Slater gets double underhooks and turns Play into the cage. Play clinches up with Slater and pushes him back against the cage. Slater pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Slater tightens his grip and picks Play up, before dumping him to the ground. Play manages to land in guard. Slater is stalling in the full guard. Play looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Slater passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slater content to control rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Horrible takedown attempt by Play or perhaps it was just good defense by Slater, which made it look bad. Play misses the shot to the body. Play just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromSlater. Play shoots in and drives through. Slater sprawls well. Orval Slater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emily Play. Play tries to clinch up but Slater circles away and keeps his distance. Slater appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Play throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Play tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Play is breathing heavily. No luck for Play with that takedown attempt. Slater shoots in and drives through. Play sprawls well. Orval Slater is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Play tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Slater manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Play shoots in looking for a takedown but Slater manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Play's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Play tries to clinch there but Slater circles away.
Slater moves out of range as Play strikes. Slater tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Play manages to circle out of the way. Play has a takedown stuffed.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Slater. Play trying to remain calm as Slater controls from the top position. Slater has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Orval Slater dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Slater drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Play can do anything to dispel that myth. You can see the frustration on Play's face as Slater controls the position. Slater has hold of Play's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Play seems comfortable defending it but Slater has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Play is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Play is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Slater couldn't care less - he's delighted!
