Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Pompaius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pompaius looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Silva shoots for a takedown but Pompaius saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pompaius darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Pompaius uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Pompaius lands with a nice body punch.
Pompaius looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pompaius connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Pompaius fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva takes one to the chin there.
Pompaius scores with a shot to the body.
Silva looks winded!

A quick step to the side and Pompaius tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pompaius throws a good cross that connects.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Pompaius counters with a stiff right hand.

Pompaius cracks Silva with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Silva looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Pompaius finish him?
Pompaius is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Silva takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Silva is rocked!
Pompaius throws an overhand right that drops Silva like a sack of potatoes! Pompaius dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gaius Pompaius!
Gaius Pompaius bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
