The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torkelson moves into the clinch.

Taroni has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Torkelson after a bit of a struggle.

Taroni tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Torkelson smiles and moves away.
Torkelson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Taroni looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee calls for Torkelson to work.

Torkelson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Taroni backwards.

Taroni fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Balder Torkelson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Taroni.

Taroni tries to break free but Torkelson pushes him back against the cage.
Torkelson drops Taroni onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Taroni is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Torkelson breaks the clinch.
Taroni takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Torkelson finds Taroni's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Taroni flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Torkelson lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Taroni will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Balder Torkelson!
A relieved looking Balder Torkelson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
