Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Mosley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddie Fists (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fists has a niggling injury. 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddie Fists! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fists circles away from the clinch attempt and Fists counters with a shoot takedown. Mosley fights it but they end up in guard. Fists looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Mosley keeping moving, preventing Fists from controlling successfully. Mosley controls Fists momentarily but Fists frees himself. Mosley wants to stand and escape but Fists is having none of it. Mosley controls Fists momentarily but Fists frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mosley is pulling down on Fists's head. It's preventing any offense from Fists, at least for the moment. Mosley is trying to drag Fists to the mat but Fists just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
