PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zackary Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roni Draymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Zackary Nixon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zackary Nixon seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draymond swats away the attempt to clinch by Nixon.
Despite the aggression on Draymond's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Draymond shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Draymond seems to be working for a kimura but Nixon defends the submission attempt.

Draymond keeps the fight on the outside.

Nixon seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Draymond throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nixon was covering up waiting for the punch and Draymond finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nixon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Draymond swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Draymond shoots in and bounces Nixon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Nixon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Nixon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Draymond can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Roni Draymond comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Draymond has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
