Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manny Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jere Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Manny Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jere Stephens!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stephens lands the left hand.
We've been told by Machado's head coaches at Main Event Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Stephens rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Machado cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Machado bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stephens's head.
Machado scoring well with a low kick there.
Stephens misses with a straight left.
Stephens swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Machado cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Machado shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Stephens eats them both and turns towards Machado to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Machado stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Machado wants it to stay on the feet.
Stephens looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Machado changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stephens falls off balance throwing a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Stephens looks winded!
Machado lands a nice hook to Stephens's body. Stephens takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Machado uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stephens has time to react.
Nice body punch from Machado.
Machado scores with a leg kick.
Machado lands with a straight right. Stephens didn't see that one coming.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Machado scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


Stephens is rocked!
Stephens takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stephens is still on wobbly legs! Can Machado finish him?
Stephens throws a combination that misses
and Machado rattles Stephens with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Stephens tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Machado dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Stephens stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Manny Machado!
Manny Machado seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
