Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emery Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Emery Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, King George!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George is looking to clinch.

George closes the distance and pushes Hogan back into the cage.

Hogan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

George moves into the clinch.

George's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
George swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Hogan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
George trying to control but Hogan postures up.
George is trying to get back to full guard.
Hogan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hogan content to control rather than advance.
Hogan tries to pass the half guard into mount. George knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
George wants to improve his position but Hogan is controlling well.
Hogan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hogan shoots for a takedown but George saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
George is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Hogan with a body shot.
George wants to clinch but Hogan slips to the side

and Hogan counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for George!

Hogan has worked his way into a potential kimura here. George is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hogan yanks on the arm and George is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hogan.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Emery Hogan!
