Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Van Beethoven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Charles Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Beethoven comes into the arena with Beethoven-Symphony 7 blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wolfgang Van Beethoven !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 27 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Charles Brock!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brock shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Van Beethoven defends it nicely.
Van Beethoven throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Van Beethoven stuffs the takedown attempt from Brock. Brock gets slowly back to his feet.
Brock takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Van Beethoven 's corner calls for a 1-2. Van Beethoven obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brock ducks under a wild hook from Van Beethoven .
Van Beethoven takes a swing at Brock's ribcage but misses.
Brock dives in and grabs Van Beethoven 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Van Beethoven pushes down on Brock's head and hops out.
Wolfgang Van Beethoven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edward Charles Brock.
Van Beethoven fails to land with a series of punches.

Brock has managed to clinch.
Brock tries to score a body lock takedown but Van Beethoven shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Van Beethoven swings wildly with an uppercut but Brock uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brock tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Van Beethoven stops a takedown attempt from Brock.
Van Beethoven throws a punch but it's blocked by Brock.
Van Beethoven tries to throw a body punch but Brock avoids it by throwing Van Beethoven back against the cage.

Van Beethoven breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brock misses with a takedown attempt - Van Beethoven sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A clash of legs there as Brock blocks the low kick.
Brock with the counter takedown but Van Beethoven avoids it easily.
Van Beethoven connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Van Beethoven tries to work over Brock's front leg with a kick but Brock checks it.
Brock tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brock shoots in but Van Beethoven avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Van Beethoven misses with a looping right.
Brock swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Wolfgang Van Beethoven is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice takedown defense from Van Beethoven . No joy for Brock on that attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from Van Beethoven misses the target.
Brock closes the distance and clinches up with Van Beethoven , looking for a takedown. Brock pushes Van Beethoven against the cage but Van Beethoven circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Van Beethoven works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Van Beethoven uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brock has time to react.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brock keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brock shoots in but Van Beethoven avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Van Beethoven gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brock to score an easy takedown into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Brock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Van Beethoven has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brock has managed to get both his arms back between Van Beethoven 's legs - danger averted.
Brock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Van Beethoven swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Van Beethoven has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Brock trying to control but Van Beethoven is working from the bottom.

Brock thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brock throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brock trying to control the position from guard on top but Van Beethoven is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Van Beethoven is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Brock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Van Beethoven swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Van Beethoven lunges at Brock with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brock's hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Van Beethoven lands with a shot to the body.
Van Beethoven stuffs the takedown attempt from Brock. Brock gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wolfgang Van Beethoven dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Van Beethoven lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brock has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brock and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Van Beethoven sets himself, and Brock steps forward looking for the clinch! Van Beethoven avoids it this time.

Brock dives in and scores a takedown into Van Beethoven 's guard.
Brock looking to pass the guard.
Van Beethoven looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Van Beethoven pulls Brock in close to his closed guard and prevents Brock from doing any damage or advancing position.
Brock throwing strikes but missing.
Van Beethoven knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brock on the ground.
Brock postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Beethoven has momentary wrist control but Brock slips an elbow through the middle.

Van Beethoven has his foot on Brock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brock works his way back into a safe position though.

Brock has gone for a leg lock! Van Beethoven slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brock's guard.


That's one minute gone in the round.

Brock is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Brock has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Van Beethoven should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Brock has tightened it up now! Van Beethoven should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Edward Charles Brock!

Edward Charles Brock decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
