Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Xiali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Puetz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xiali's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bonobo - Kiara. Bob Puetz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bob Puetz !
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiali leaves Puetz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Xiali closes the distance and clinches.
Puetz is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Xiali gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Xiali lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Xiali lands an elbow that stopped Puetz in his tracks for a moment.
Xiali definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Xiali lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Xiali lands an elbow inside that Puetz shrugs off.
Xiali is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Puetz is defending well for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Xiali gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Xiali lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Puetz takes an elbow to the temple.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Puetz can't get the takedown.
Zhang Xiali has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Puetz .
That's one minute gone in the round.
Xiali lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Xiali is pressed up against the cage. Puetz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Xiali down to the mat. Xiali avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Puetz .
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Xiali, right into the meat.
Xiali tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Puetz shoots in for a takedown but Xiali shows good takedown defense.

and Xiali counters with a head kick that drops Puetz to the mat! Puetz scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Nice body kick there by Xiali.
Puetz looks winded!
Xiali scores with a push kick.
Xiali and Puetz are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Xiali throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Puetz into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Xiali knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Zhang Xiali!
Zhang Xiali decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
