Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Vaugh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vaugh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bad Day. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Vaugh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sam Wilson! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaugh throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Wilson checks the leg kick nicely there.
Vaugh misses with a kick to the body enabling Wilson to counter with a crisp jab. Wilson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Vaugh at a distance.
Vaugh pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vaugh with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Vaugh looks to land a right hand but Wilson moved out of range. Wilson moves out of range of the body kick from Vaugh.
Wilson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vaugh moves away. Wilson avoids a kick to the body.
Wilson is looking for the big counter here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vaugh gets caught napping as Wilson dives in and scores a takedown. Vaugh manages to retain guard. Wilson advances position into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vaugh is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaugh is being controlled here. Wilson trying to control the position but Vaugh is working away. Vaugh is looking for a sweep. Vaugh is working hard here to advance position. Wilson trying to control the position but Vaugh is working away. Wilson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vaugh haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Vaugh tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wilson lands an elbow. Wilson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wilson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wilson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Vaugh is avoiding damage well.
Vaugh is looking for a sweep. Wilson trying to control the position but Vaugh is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson advances to mount. Wilson scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Vaugh?
Vaugh is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Wilson landing punches. Wilson looking to finish Vaugh with some ground and pound. This is bad for Vaugh! Vaugh regains half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Wilson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wilson uses his free foot to push down on Vaugh's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vaugh. Vaugh takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilson lands a couple of good shots and Vaugh has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wilson is hanging on to Vaugh's back as he tries to escape.
Vaugh is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Wilson lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Wilson.
Wilson has his arm under Vaugh's chin here. Game over son! Wilson squeezes tightly and Vaugh is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sam Wilson! Sam Wilson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it. The defeated Michael Vaugh had this to say: 'Oh well, I guess I had a bad day.'.
