Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tim Marks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Frazier! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marks connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Marks lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Frazier tries to clinch up. Frazier takes the fight into the clinch. Marks is trying to break the clinch but Frazier has him pressed against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Marks's face as he tries to break the clinch. A body shot lands from Frazier.
Marks blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Frazier keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Marks's efforts to push away. Marks has had enough of the clinch but Frazier keeps him there for the moment. I was talking to Marks's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Frazier tightens his grip and picks Marks up, before dumping him to the ground. Marks manages to land in guard. Frazier content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Frazier wants to control from the top but Marks keeps moving. Marks wants to stand up but Frazier is controlling him. Frazier working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. That's one minute gone in the round. Frazier content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Frazier is in close to Marks's body, working some short punches and elbows. Frazier prevents Marks from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frazier wants to control from the top but Marks keeps moving. Marks wants to get back to his feet but Frazier is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Marks avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Frazier wants to pass the guard but Marks is keeping the position. Frazier lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Frazier postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Marks is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Frazier accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Frazier won't allow Marks to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Frazier makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Frazier stops Marks from standing up. Frazier scoring with punches to the head and body. Frazier pushing down on Marks's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Frazier in particular looking to stall. Frazier working over Marks with some ground and pound. Marks looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Marks wants to get back to his feet. Frazier sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Marks defending well though. Marks looks like he's trying to stand up.

Marks won't allow Frazier to pass to mount. Frazier is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Frazier throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Frazier prevents Marks from standing back up.
Frazier thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marks's head. Frazier has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. That's four minutes gone in the round. Frazier trying to pass the guard but Marks defending well. Frazier seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Marks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Frazier not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Frazier lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Nice strikes from Frazier there. Frazier trying to advance position but Marks counters by regaining guard. Frazier trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Marks is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Frazier is looking to work some ground and pound but Marks has wrist control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Marks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marks circles away from the clinch attempt.

Jimmy Frazier dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Marks throws a looping overhand right but Frazier ducks down to avoid it. Marks lands a nice hook to Frazier's body. Frazier takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Marks lands a jab. Frazier closes the distance and clinches. Marks tries to break free but Frazier pushes him back against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Frazier keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Marks's efforts to push away. Marks is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Frazier manages to break the clinch.
Marks swings away with a leg kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Frazier.
Frazier has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Frazier is looking to clinch but Marks is avoiding it.
Marks throws a combination that misses letting Frazier counter with a right hand. Marks lands a lovely overhand right. Frazier tries to clinch but Marks moves away and Marks counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Frazier thinking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frazier moves out of range of the strikes. Nice uppercut lands for Marks. That snapped Frazier's head back.
Nice defenses there by Frazier. Frazier shoots in for a takedown but Marks shows good takedown defense. Frazier takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Marks looks to land a left hand but Frazier moved out of range nicely. Frazier takes one to the chin there. Marks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Frazier was well out of range. Poor timing from Marks. Frazier slips under a jab. Frazier steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Marks. Marks scores with a nice right hand.

Frazier will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

This has been an exciting period of action! Marks scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Frazier fails with a takedown attempt.

He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Jab by Marks. Frazier tries to clinch but Marks is having none of it. Marks misses with an uppercut
and Frazier decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marks's guard. Frazier wants to control from the top but Marks keeps moving. Marks wants to stand up but Frazier is controlling him. Frazier stays in close to Marks's body and controls the position. Marks wants to stand and escape but Frazier is having none of it. Frazier content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Marks has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Frazier is on him like a limpet, forcing Marks back against the cage. Frazier misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Marks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Frazier wants to clinch up but Marks keeps it at a distance. Marks lands with a cross. Frazier fails in his attempt to clinch. Marks throws a leg kick but Frazier sees it coming and checks it nicely. Frazier has taken the fight to the clinch.

Marks blocks an elbow strike. Nice body punch from Frazier. Frazier misses with a short punch on the inside. Frazier taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Frazier gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Marks is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Frazier is controlling him. Frazier lands a couple of digs. Frazier lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Marks wants to stand but Frazier is controlling the position. Frazier pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marks is keeping the position for now. Frazier passes Marks's left leg - he's now in half guard. Frazier seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Marks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Frazier prevents Marks from standing back up.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Frazier is looking to take a break and control but Marks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Marks is trying to stand up here but Frazier is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Marks dominated that second round. That's time! Marks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Marks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Frazier manages to avoid it. Marks uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Frazier has time to react. Marks scores with a hook. Frazier slips under a jab. Nice shot by Marks.
Frazier is rocked! Marks lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Frazier up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Marks from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Frazier's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
