The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bennett pinned against the cage. Bennett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bennett has Janus up against the cage in a clinch.

Bennett is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Janus is defending well for now.
Janus ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Janus no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bennett wants to control from the top but Janus keeps moving.

Bennett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Janus on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Janus is on top in guard.

Janus jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bennett manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Bennett tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Janus keeps control of the position as Bennett tries to break free.

Bennett can't escape the position.
Bennett is trying to get back to his feet but Janus has full control of the position and if anything, Bennett has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Bennett prevents Janus from getting a body triangle.
Bennett is trying to defend against the choke here but Janus has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Janus Tightens the hold and Bennett taps out furiously! Janus displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
