PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Oliva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Crawley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crawley has chosen Barbarian Overlords - The Ambassador as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliva moves out of range as Crawley strikes.
Oliva half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
The crowd cheers as Crawley lands an impressive looking overhand right. Oliva doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Xavier Oliva has been cut.
Crawley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Oliva.

Oliva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Crawley stacks Oliva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Crawley!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Oliva is looking for a sweep.
Crawley looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
You can see the frustration on Oliva's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Oliva tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crawley defends well and Oliva ends up having to push Crawley into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Oliva shoots in looking for a takedown. Crawley tries to sprawl out of it but Oliva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crawley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

It looked like Oliva was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Well Crawley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
