Oboev bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Smolarek is trying to improve his position.
Oboev is trying to get an arm triangle but Smolarek is defending well.
Oboev wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Smolarek, who protects the arm well.
Oboev wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smolarek keeps working.
Oboev goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Smolarek rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Oboev's guard! Nice work there by Smolarek!
Oboev has his foot on Smolarek's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smolarek works his way back into a safe position though.
