Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Van Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 27 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dumbass McWeakhands!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWeakhands cracks Kelly with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kelly is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
McWeakhands throws a head kick but Kelly moves out of range.
Kelly tries to clinch but McWeakhands is having none of it.
McWeakhands scores with a kick to the midsection.
McWeakhands misses the shot to the body.

McWeakhands fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kelly has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kelly uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McWeakhands.
McWeakhands bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kelly tries to score a power double leg takedown but McWeakhands sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kelly somewhat.
Kelly moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Kelly counters with a three punch combo that has McWeakhands backing up. McWeakhands nods at Kelly to acknowledge the strikes.

Kelly shoots in but no luck this time.
Kelly on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McWeakhands. McWeakhands obviously looking to wear him down.
Kelly misses with a takedown attempt - McWeakhands sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Van Kelly. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kelly checks a leg kick.
Kelly went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Kelly tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Kelly cracks McWeakhands with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

McWeakhands tries to kick Kelly off but Kelly keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kelly wants to free his trapped foot but McWeakhands is holding on for dear life with his legs.
McWeakhands makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McWeakhands.

Kelly drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kelly jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

McWeakhands wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Kelly has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McWeakhands is pulling down on Kelly's head. It's preventing any offense from Kelly, at least for the moment.

McWeakhands has his foot on Kelly's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kelly works his way back into a safe position though.

We've been hearing good reports from Kelly's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McWeakhands tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kelly was well out of range. Poor timing from McWeakhands.
Kelly shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kelly tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McWeakhands manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McWeakhands connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kelly momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McWeakhands motions for Kelly to come forward. McWeakhands throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters circle momentarily. McWeakhands darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
McWeakhands connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Van Kelly is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kelly takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

McWeakhands has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McWeakhands paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


Kelly is rocked!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kelly.
McWeakhands throws out a counter right but Kelly avoids it with no problem.
Oh Kelly is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kelly takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kelly goes for a double leg but McWeakhands avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McWeakhands continues to drive forward.
McWeakhands misses with a kick to the body.
As McWeakhands looks to move away, Kelly throws a big counter combo bu McWeakhands just gets out of the way.
Kelly seems to have got his legs back now.

McWeakhands digs a good hook to Kelly's body.
Dumbass McWeakhands seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kelly takes one to the chin there.
McWeakhands fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
McWeakhands scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kelly doesn't seem bothered though.
Kelly has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kelly there as he acknowledges the shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dumbass McWeakhands comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think McWeakhands has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
