Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ian Baer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Judo Saiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Judo Saiko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saiko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Baer tries to clinch but Saiko is having none of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Baer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Saiko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Baer shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Baer works his foot free and advances to mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ian Baer just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Baer makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Baer is sitting in close to Saiko's body. Saiko has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Baer is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Baer is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Saiko.
