Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacopo Faithful (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Faithful comes to the cage accompanied by Be Faithful. Simmons has chosen Sound of MAdness - Shinedown as his entrance music. Jacopo Faithful has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faithful gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Jacopo Faithful has been cut.
Faithful has taken the fight to the clinch.

Simmons closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Faithful did well to prevent Simmons getting side control.
Faithful is trying to stand back up but Simmons is controlling him

Simmons is looking for a kimura but Faithful is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Simmons to get the leverage.

Simmons stops Faithful from getting back to his feet.

Faithful tries to kick Simmons off but Simmons keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Faithful is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Simmons is controlling him well.
Faithful tries to bench press Simmons off him but Simmons keeps the position.
Simmons lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Faithful down.
Simmons is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Simmons is putting a hurting on Faithful here, landing some big shots from side control.
Jacopo Faithful's cut is getting worse.
Faithful tries to bench press Simmons off him but Simmons keeps the position.
Simmons connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Faithful some visible discomfort.
Simmons lands a strong strike to the head of Faithful. That's dazed him! Simmons looking to finish here. Faithful is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Simmons lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
