The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Sato.
Sato displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alexius.
Sato is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Alexius.

Sato tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sato looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

As Alexius tries to get set, Sato tries to push him back and clinch up but Alexius manages to avoid the attempt.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Alexius.
Sato wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Alexius shoots in looking for a takedown. Sato tries to sprawl out of it but Alexius keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sato manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hirohito Sato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bessarion Alexius.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sato, as that shot connected.
Sato fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alexius.

Alexius must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
