Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Ryers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert Ryers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mason Dixon! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryers shoots in and bounces Dixon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ryers content to stall in guard here. Ryers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dixon wants to stand and escape but Ryers is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ryers controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dixon has his foot on Ryers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ryers works his way back into a safe position though. Ryers postures up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Dixon being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Robert Ryers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dixon fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ryers is stalling in the full guard. Ryers seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dixon for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ryers shoots for a takedown but Dixon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ryers misses with a takedown attempt - Dixon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dixon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ryers doesn't seem bothered though. Dixon looks to land a combination but Ryers avoids it well. Ryers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Ryers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryers scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ryers is breathing heavily. Dixon preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Well, if Ryers is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ryers is pressing down on Dixon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dixon is holding on for now. Ryers prevents Dixon from standing back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Ryers fails with a takedown attempt. Ryers with a poor takedown and Dixon counters with a three punch combo that has Ryers backing up. Ryers nods at Dixon to acknowledge the strikes. Dixon lands a nice looking body shot.
Dixon lands a jab-cross combination. Dixon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ryers has his takedown stuffed and Dixon counters with a one-two to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A nice combination there by Dixon.
Dixon works over Ryers's head and body with a nice combination. A right-left combo lands from Dixon. Ryers shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dixon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Dixon jabs Ryers right on the nose. Ryers blinks but takes it well. Dixon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Dixon dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dixon lands a jab to Ryers's midsection. Nice takedown defense from Dixon. No joy for Ryers on that attempt. Dixon throws a right hand that Ryers ducks under and follows up with a left that Ryers also avoids with ease. Ryers dives in and scores a takedown into Dixon's guard. Ryers sitting in guard, not really doing much. Dixon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dixon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ryers controls the pace. Ryers prevents Dixon from getting back to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ryers. Dixon unleashes a big counter combination but Ryers bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Jab, jab by Dixon - just one landing. Nice uppercut there from Dixon. Dixon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Dixon throws a series of strikes that have Ryers backpedaling.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dixon closes the distance and lands a one-two. Jab from Dixon. A right-left combo lands from Dixon. Dixon connects with a body shot. Ryers needs to keep his hands up - Dixon had a free shot at his head there. Dixon dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dixon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Ryers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dixon swivels and escapes. Ryers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dixon finds it's way round the side to connect with Ryers's head. Ryers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dixon's waist but Dixon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ryers off to one side. Dixon connects with a right hand. Ryers shakes it off. Dixon scores with a sloppy right hand. Ryers should have avoided that one. Dixon fails to land with a series of punches.
Dixon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ryers tries for a takedown but Dixon circles away easily and Dixon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Dixon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Ryers has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Ryers fails with the takedown and Dixon counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Dixon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dixon has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dixon tries to strike from the bottom.
Ryers trying to control the position from guard on top but Dixon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dixon wants to stand up but Ryers is controlling him. That's one minute gone in the round. Ryers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dixon wants to stand up but Ryers is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ryers darts in looking for a takedown but Dixon gets double underhooks and turns Ryers into the cage. Ryers shoots for a double leg takedown but Dixon sprawls well. He's pushed Ryers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Ryers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jab by Dixon. Dixon throws a combination. Ryers tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Ryers looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Dixon throws a series of strikes that have Ryers backpedaling.
Dixon throws a series of punches but Ryers avoids them all with ease. Mason Dixon seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dixon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ryers's hands.

This has been an exciting period of action! Nice body punch from Dixon. Dixon scores with a jab to the body. Dixon lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Dixon moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Danga de danga de dang - Dixon scores with a four punch combination! Ryers fails with a takedown attempt. Dixon tries to bum rush Ryers with a series of wild strikes but Ryers uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ryers doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Dixon counter with a right hand. Good standup being displayed there by Dixon as he connects with a hook. Dixon scores with a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by Dixon. Ryers takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Dixon with a nice cross. Dixon stuffs the takedown attempt from Ryers. Ryers gets slowly back to his feet. Ryers takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Dixon misses with a jab, cross combination.
A combination from Dixon does no damage. Ryers tries for a takedown but Dixon circles away easily and Dixon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dixon scores with a body shot.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ryers dodges the punch combination from Dixon.
A jab lands there for Dixon. Ryers takes a jab right on the kisser.
Ryers takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. No joy there for Dixon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dixon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ryers. Ryers shoots for a double leg takedown but Dixon sprawls well. He's pushed Ryers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dixon lands with a good body shot. Dixon scores with a body shot.
Robert Ryers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ryers misses with a takedown attempt and Dixon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ryers's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dixon connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ryers scrambles back to his feet. Mason Dixon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ryers shoots for a takedown but Dixon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Mason Dixon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Dixon winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
