The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Griffith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Griffith seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Griffith defends it nicely.
