Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Koo Poon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Fielders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poon has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Sam Fielders will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam Fielders!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fielders moves out of range as Poon strikes.
A head kick from Fielders lands but Poon takes it in his stride.
Poon lands with a cross.
A big right from Poon misses.

Fielders takes the fight into the clinch.
Fielders leaning against his opponent.
Poon definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Fielders manages to break the clinch.

Fielders has Poon up against the cage in a clinch.

Fielders manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Fielders has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fielders wants to sweep here but Poon controlling him for the moment.

Fielders working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Poon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Poon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fielders pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fielders shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Koo Poon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fielders wants to counter the offense by Poon and move into the clinch position.
Poon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Poon leaves Fielders with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Fielders is taking a breather. Poon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fielders moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Fielders showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Koo Poon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fielders with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Poon to score with a decent uppercut.
Fielders shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Poon defends it nicely.

Fielders is working for takedown but Poon is calmly controlling the position for now.

Poon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Poon throws a right hand that Fielders ducks under and follows up with a left that Fielders also avoids with ease.
Poon connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fielders. Fielders circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Fielders shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Poon pinned against the cage. Poon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Poon throws a jab but it's blocked by Fielders.
Fielders goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Fielders shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Poon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fielders is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Fielders got a little sloppy there for a moment and Poon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fielders has managed to get both his arms back between Poon's legs - danger averted.
Fielders is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
