Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sponge Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kedar Dere! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dere closes the distance and pushes Bob back into the cage. Bob crunches a lovely knee into Dere's ribcage. Bob lands an elbow just above Dere 's eye. Bob lands a nice elbow. Bob scores with a shot to the side of Dere's head. Dere drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dere wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bob has him pressed against the cage. Bob is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Bob lands a knee to the body.
Dere goes for a takedown attempt but Bob pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dere will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sponge Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kedar Dere. Dere looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bob is fending him off so far but Dere persists. Nope, Bob circles away and we're back to standing. As Dere tries to get set, Bob tries to push him back and clinch up but Dere manages to avoid the attempt. The fight moves into the clinch position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bob lands a hook that snaps the head of Dere backwards. Bob landing some nice looking knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bob creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Dere's defenses. Dere's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Dere should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bob lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Bob lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Bob working some nice short punches in the clinch. Bob lands an uppercut. Bob lands an elbow that stopped Dere in his tracks for a moment. Bob softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Bob lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dere backwards. This has been an exciting period of action! Bob lands a nice elbow from the clinch. A short uppercut from Bob. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bob takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Bob connects with a knee to the head.

Bob lands on the inside with an uppercut. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Dere has eaten all the pies! Bob gets through Dere's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Bob lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Bob dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Dere jumps guard but Bob stands there with Dere around his waist. Dere gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dere has Bob pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bob manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bob lands a knee to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Dere - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bob will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dere up against the cage. Bob is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dere is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Dere working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dere tries to land a sweep but no joy.

And that's the end of the fight! Sponge Bob showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
