The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OnSPEED decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Houston is refusing to be controlled, as OnSPEED sits in half guard.

Houston looking for submissions off his back.
Houston works his way to full guard. Good work.
OnSPEED trying to control but Houston is working from the bottom.

OnSPEED got a little sloppy there for a moment and Houston has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, OnSPEED has managed to get both his arms back between Houston's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Houston has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but OnSPEED can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Houston has his foot on OnSPEED's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. OnSPEED works his way back into a safe position though.
OnSPEED controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Houston gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Houston escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. OnSPEED gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
OnSPEED with a flurry of punches that miss.
Houston not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
OnSPEED trying to control but Houston is working from the bottom.
OnSPEED controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Houston preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Houston is trying to hold OnSPEED in close to prevent damage but OnSPEED has managed to pass into half guard.
OnSPEED moves into full mount! Houston won't be happy about that!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Houston avoids a series of strikes thrown by OnSPEED.
Houston wants to control but OnSPEED is having none of it.
OnSPEED takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
OnSPEED wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OnSPEED wants to finish this one by submission but Houston is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from OnSPEED.

OnSPEED has control of Houston's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Houston regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Houston tries to lock up and control but OnSPEED gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

OnSPEED swings and misses with a hook to the body.
OnSPEED misses the shot to the body.
OnSPEED misses with a takedown attempt
and Houston counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

OnSPEED instigates a clinch.
OnSPEED lands a good knee to the midsection. Houston won't want to take too many of those.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as OnSPEED takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Houston has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but OnSPEED regains guard immediately.

Houston throws an elbow that misses. OnSPEED uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Houston's guard. Nice move by OnSPEED!
