Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ziba Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam McGuiness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuiness has chosen The Boys are Back by Dropkick Murphys as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ziba Halo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Liam McGuiness! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halo connects with a good right hand that stumbles McGuiness. McGuiness circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Halo swings for the body but McGuiness moves out of range.
McGuiness misses with a right hand and Halo counters with a lovely shot to the body. Halo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. McGuiness defending well as Halo loads up on a big left hand. Halo tests McGuiness's chin there with a solid looking shot. McGuiness jabbing away but nothing is landing. McGuiness avoids the head kick by Halo.
McGuiness throws out a counter right but Halo avoids it with no problem. Halo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McGuiness counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. McGuiness takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. McGuiness walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice defenses there by McGuiness. McGuiness takes a body punch but keeps moving. Halo scores with the left hand. McGuiness knows he should have avoided that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGuiness throws a body punch but Halo moves out of range. Halo throws an off balance right hand
and McGuiness counters with a stiff right hand. Halo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGuiness sees it coming and avoids it easily. Halo misses with a wild body shot. McGuiness throws a hook to the side of Halo's head but Halo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Halo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Halo throws an overhand right that lands on McGuiness's shoulder, as McGuiness tries to avoid the shot. Halo lands with a nice body punch. A jab from McGuiness misses. Halo throws out a powerful jab. Halo throws a lazy uppercut
and McGuiness connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Halo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGuiness can do anything to dispel that myth. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McGuiness has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Halo is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Halo misses with a lunging right hand
letting McGuiness counter with a right hand. Nice straight punches there by Halo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Halo. Halo scores with a body shot.
Halo connects with a single shot there. Halo throws a big shot that misses. A little jabbing left from McGuiness on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Halo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McGuiness. Halo swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Halo throws a series of punches but McGuiness moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Halo swings away with a body shot that misses
and McGuiness counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Halo lands a really nice looking cross but McGuiness seems unphased.
McGuiness steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Halo. That one must have hurt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A telegraphed right hand from Halo misses the target. Halo throws the left hand but McGuiness avoids the punch easily. Halo throws a head kick that half lands.
Halo listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Decent striking displayed by McGuiness there. McGuiness throws the left hand but Halo avoids the punch easily. Halo connects with a good right hand that stumbles McGuiness. McGuiness circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Halo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A little jabbing left from McGuiness on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Halo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McGuiness scores with a counter punch that sends Halo to the canvas! McGuiness smells blood - he's punishing Halo with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Halo has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liam McGuiness! After winning the bout, Liam McGuiness thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
