The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Estebanjos. Kovac takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Estebanjos cracks the inside of Kovac's front leg. Kovac fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Estebanjos avoids it really well and circles away. Estebanjos throws a quick counter head kick but Kovac was just out of range. Kovac misses with a combination
and Estebanjos counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Bobby Estebanjos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A decent looking cross lands there for Kovac. Kovac lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kovac will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A chopping leg kick lands by Estebanjos. Estebanjos moves into the clinch. Estebanjos lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Miso Kovac has been cut. Kovac takes an elbow to the temple. Kovac avoids a wild elbow strike from Estebanjos. Kovac blocks an elbow strike from Estebanjos.

Miso Kovac's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Estebanjos fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
