Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roberts fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alsop, pushing him back against the cage.

Alsop jumps into guard, dragging Roberts to the mat.

Alsop has his foot on Roberts's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Roberts works his way back into a safe position though.
Roberts lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Roberts tries to free his leg and advance position but Alsop is retaining full guard.

Alsop is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Alsop is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roberts is working Alsop over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Alsop is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Alsop is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Roberts is aware though and is defending well.

Alsop escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Roberts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Roberts got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alsop has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roberts has managed to get both his arms back between Alsop's legs - danger averted.
