Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Barry Barrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lebron James!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Barrera half committed to a counter leg kick.
James thuds his right hand into Barrera's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


It looks like Barry Barrera has been cut.
James lands a slapping body shot.
Barrera keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Barrera appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Barrera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has James pinned against the cage. James gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James throws a low kick but Barrera moves out of range easily.

and James counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

James has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Barrera uses from the top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
James misses with the body kick
enabling Barrera to counter with a crisp jab.
Lebron James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barrera leaves James with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
James shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barrera defends it nicely.
Barrera could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
James tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Barrera counters with a stiff right hand.

No luck for James with that takedown attempt.
Barrera changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

James shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barrera as he avoids it easily.
Barrera fails in his attempt to clinch.
James is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

James pulls guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barrera won't allow James to sweep him here.

James keeping moving, preventing Barrera from controlling successfully.
James wants to sweep here but Barrera controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
James pulls Barrera in close to his closed guard and prevents Barrera from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barrera is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Barrera circles away and we're back to standing.

Barrera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as James sprawls well. James wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barrera gets slowly back to his feet.

James dives in and grabs Barrera's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barrera pushes down on James's head and hops out.

That's time! Barrera's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Barrera displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from James.
Barrera drops down looking for a counter takedown but James sprawls and moves away.

James shoots in looking for a takedown. Barrera tries to sprawl out of it but James keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barrera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Barrera can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as James is looking to escape.
Barry Barrera overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

James wants to control but Barrera is having none of it.
Barrera prevents James from getting the reversal.
James slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
James gets back to full guard.
Barrera knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground.
James controlling the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Barrera trying to control but James is working from the bottom.

James is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
James tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barrera swivels and escapes.
Barrera swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

James takes the fight into the clinch.
