The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skantze Jr swings for the body but Kimura moves out of range.
Kimura is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Skantze Jr lands a body shot.
Skantze Jr lands with an overhand left.
Skantze Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kimura moves away.
Kimura let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Skantze Jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Kimura is just out of range.
John Skantze Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skantze Jr cracks Kimura with an open hand slap.

It looks like Masahiko Kimura has been cut.
Kimura looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Skantze Jr thuds a left hand into Kimura's body.
Skantze Jr is looking to wear down Kimura with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Kimura counters with a nice double leg into side control. Skantze Jr won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Skantze Jr is looking to reverse the position.
Kimura wants to control but Skantze Jr is keeping him busy.

Kimura passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Skantze Jr!

Kimura has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Skantze Jr is defending well but eventually Kimura manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Skantze Jr has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
