Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patches Meech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meech's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, shear it maybe. Patches Meech has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards shoots in but no luck this time.
Meech misses with a combination

and Edwards counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Edwards throws a big elbow that misses.
Edwards postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Edwards is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Edwards accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Edwards is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Meech just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Edwards has gone limp and this one is over!
