Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deacon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Arona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arona displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Arona moves into the clinch.
Arona prevents Jones from breaking the clinch.
Arona tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jones is trying to break the clinch but Arona has him pressed against the cage.
Arona is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Arona gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jones regains guard.
Arona stands up from Jones's guard - Arona perhaps looking for a knockout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Arona tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Arona drops back down to his feet.

Jones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Arona gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Arona walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Deacon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Arona is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Arona on the ground.

Arona looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there.

Arona controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Arona tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Arona fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Arona is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jones pushes down on Arona's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Arona is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Jones throwing shots but Arona is blocking nicely.
Arona makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Arona looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Arona persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Arona shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.
Jones lands a body shot.
Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jones misses with a straight left.
Arona bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head.
Arona throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Arona off to one side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Arona feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Arona slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arona advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deacon Jones dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Arona has a takedown stuffed.
Jones throws a series of punches but Arona avoids them all with ease.
Arona shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Arona keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jones thows a body shot but no joy.
Arona takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Deacon Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones moves into the clinch.
Jones misses with a short punch on the inside.
Arona tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jones smiles and moves away.

Jones stalks Arona and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Arona's face. Arona staggers backwards, shaken.
Arona lands with a kick to the temple. Jones shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Jones tries to clinch there but Arona circles away.
Deacon Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Arona fails with the takedown
and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Arona. Arona gets slowly back to his feet.
Arona drives through with a takedown into guard.
Arona lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Jones has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Arona has passed into side control.

Jones tries to bench press Arona off him but Arona keeps the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Arona feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Arona won't allow it.
Arona keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jones gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Arona.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Arona has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Arona swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
No luck for Arona with that takedown attempt.
Arona shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Arona scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Arona manages to avoid it.

Ricardo Arona showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Arona connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.
Jones is staying active underneath Arona, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Arona wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jones's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jones duly obliges.

Arona has a takedown stuffed.
Horrible takedown by Arona or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Arona sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Arona throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Arona misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jones is not content to let Arona control the position.
Jones bucks up and tries to throw Arona off but instead Arona has got his back!

Jones is trying to stand back up.
Arona tightening his grip on Jones, looking for the choke.
Jones is trying to get back to his feet but Arona has full control of the position and if anything, Jones has just worked his way into a worse spot.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Jones can't escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight!
Ricardo Arona comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Arona has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
