Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Orval Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Lundin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Lundin looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Orval Slater!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Lundin!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lundin instigates a clinch.
Lundin lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Slater wants to break the clinch but can't.

Slater gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Lundin regains guard.
Lundin trying to keep a closed guard but Slater is proving a slippery customer.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slater slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lundin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lundin shoots for a double leg takedown but Slater sprawls well. He's pushed Lundin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Slater lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Lundin has Slater up against the cage in a clinch.

Slater wants the takedown. Lundin is fighting it off but Slater persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lundin's guard against the cage.
Lundin wants to stand but Slater is controlling the position.

Lundin wants to control the position but Slater says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Slater is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Slater has the hooks in. Lundin is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Slater wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Slater has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lundin is trying to keep an underhook but Slater manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Slater is keen to just control but Lundin is a slippery customer.

Slater is looking for a sweep. Lundin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Slater manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lundin manages to get himself to full guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Slater, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
