Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hitachi Suzuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dana White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suzuko comes to the cage accompanied by My Life Be Like. White has chosen Im The Boss as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hitachi Suzuko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dana White! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suzuko dodges the punch combination from White.
Suzuko swats away the attempt to clinch by White. White tries to close the distance and clinch but Suzuko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. It looked like Suzuko was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from White. Suzuko bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Suzuko is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by White. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for White, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
White uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Suzuko.
White tries to counter with a clinch but Suzuko shakes him off and moves away. White tries to close the distance and clinch up but Suzuko swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. White tries to clinch but Suzuko moves away and Suzuko counters with a straight right hand. White throws a series of strikes that have Suzuko backpedaling.
It looks like Hitachi Suzuko has been cut. White tries to close the distance and clinch but Suzuko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Suzuko is looking for a counter combo. Suzuko swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. It seemed like White was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. White tries to clinch but Suzuko moves out of range. It looked like Suzuko wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. White tries to clinch up but Suzuko circles away and keeps his distance. White tries to close the distance and clinch up but Suzuko swats him away and circles back towards the center. White misses with a series of wild punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White slips under a jab from Suzuko. Suzuko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Suzuko swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. White is looking to clinch. White forces Suzuko back against the cage and clinches. White has a couple of punches blocked by Suzuko.
I was talking to Suzuko's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Suzuko avoiding damage as White throws knees to the body.
Suzuko scores with a shot to the side of White's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Suzuko has had enough of the clinch but White keeps him there for the moment. Suzuko is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Suzuko has White pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Suzuko pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending White tumbling to the mat - Suzuko dives into White's guard. Suzuko trying to stand up but can't free himself from White's guard. Suzuko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Suzuko has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing White to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Suzuko is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - White pulls down on the head and he's put Suzuko to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Dana White! Dana White was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
