Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lou Marx! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marx feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bears jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Bear shoots in and bounces Marx off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bear stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marx swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bear won't allow Marx to sweep him here. Bear trying to control the position from guard on top but Marx is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marx seems keen to control Bear's posture. Bear stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marx swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Marx has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Marx stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marx wants it to stay on the feet. Marx scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Marx trying to control the position but Bear is working away. A lull in the action here as Marx stalls from top position. Marx cracks Bear with a big right hand but Bear just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marx misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Bear is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Marx off and has taken his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marx defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marx throwing strikes but missing. Bear bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marx's guard. Bear wants to control from the top but Marx keeps moving. Bear's corner is telling him to maintain position. Marx avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear forces his way into half guard. Marx is in trouble now - Bear has advanced to mount! Bear with shots to the head and body - Marx looks very uncomfortable down there. Marx tries to hold on but Bear pushes him away. Bear sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Bear has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marx really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bear looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Bear in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bear lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bear is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Marx can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Bear dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jab from Marx. Marx slaps away a takedown attempt from Bear, before circling back to the center of the mat. Marx leaves Bear with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bear dives in and grabs Marx's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marx pushes down on Bear's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him. Donk. Marx catches Bear right on the button with a cross. Bear walks into a straight right hand from Marx. Bear is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
No luck for Bear with that takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bear walks into a left hand. Bear walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Marx shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bear napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Marx looks up at the clock and then as Bear takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Marx smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Bear manages to get back to half guard. Bear has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marx is working away from the top position though. Bear looking for submissions off his back. Bear looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bear is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Bobby Bear overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Marx missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bear gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bear looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Marx trying to control the position from guard on top but Bear is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marx content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Marx throws a big right hand that misses. Marx sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bear is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marx is aware though and is defending well. Marx working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bear's head. Marx trying to control the position from guard on top but Bear is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bear utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marx pinned against the cage. Marx gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bear is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Marx's half guard. Bear is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Marx is trying to stand.
Bear is trying to control the action in half guard but Marx is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bear is working for a submission of some sort.
Marx works his way to full guard. Good work. Marx is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Marx takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Marx is nestled in close to Bear, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Bear trying to hold on to Marx's head to control him but Marx postures up.
Bear tries to roll over but Marx keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lou Marx showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Marx fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bear on the side of the head. Bear displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Marx throws out the jab. Bear tries to counter with a takedown but Marx is quick to defend against it. Bear looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Good standup being displayed there by Marx as he connects with a hook. Marx fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bear to the ground. Marx is now in Bear's guard. Bear is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Marx scoring with punches to the head and body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bear preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Marx trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bear throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Marx won't allow Bear to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bear is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Marx working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Bear looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marx is one step ahead there. Bear had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marx defends it easily. Marx chips away with some ground and pound. Marx slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Marx advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bear is looking for a sweep. Marx working away. Marx working the ground and pound. Bear is trying to improve his position. Bear is trying to escape the position but Marx is controlling the position. Bear takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Bear is being controlled here. Marx tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bear's legs. Bear is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Marx off and has taken his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Marx defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Bear looking for the RNC. I really don't envy Marx right now.

Bear is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Marx has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bear punches Marx on the ear. Marx fending off the submission attempt from Bear. Marx tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Lou Marx. I think Marx has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Lou Marx! A very excited looking Lou Marx rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
