Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tea Four! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy LaPlaguea! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LaPlaguea shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Four pinned against the cage. Four gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. LaPlaguea misses with a body shot.
Four wants to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Four looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Four has a takedown stuffed. LaPlaguea moves into the clinch. LaPlaguea is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Four gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Four holding his opponent close, against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. LaPlaguea successfully pulls guard.
Four controls from within his opponent's guard. Four trying to control the position from guard on top but LaPlaguea is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Four stands and steps away. LaPlaguea gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. LaPlaguea lands with a nice combination. Four backs away looking to recover. LaPlaguea stalks Four and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Four's face. Four staggers backwards, shaken. Good standup being displayed there by LaPlaguea as he connects with a hook. LaPlaguea stuffs the takedown. LaPlaguea with a poor takedown and Four decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in LaPlaguea's guard. Tea Four has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andy LaPlaguea. Four is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! LaPlaguea is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! LaPlaguea has escaped and now he's on top! Four working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from LaPlaguea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. LaPlaguea stopping the sweep attempt from Four. Four isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. LaPlaguea stacks Four on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by LaPlaguea! Four is breathing heavily. LaPlaguea decides to stand back up. LaPlaguea steps back and let's Four get back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by LaPlaguea!

LaPlaguea fails with the takedown and Four counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Four pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. LaPlaguea is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. LaPlaguea is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. LaPlaguea wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Four has him pressed against the cage. LaPlaguea tries to break the clinch but Four is controlling the position. Four prevents a takedown attempt there.
Four turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Four manages to end up in side control. Four throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and LaPlaguea works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Four is figuring out what he wants to do next. Four stands up from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Four shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and LaPlaguea counters with a one-two to the body. A right-left combo lands from LaPlaguea. LaPlaguea gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Four pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. LaPlaguea is keeping the position for now. LaPlaguea trying to strike off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. LaPlaguea lands with a shot to the body. Four changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. LaPlaguea looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Four looking to control but instead LaPlaguea has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tea Four dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Four fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. LaPlaguea sprawls well initially but Four persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Well, if Four is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
LaPlaguea is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Four frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Four swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and LaPlaguea is now in Four's guard. A big mistake from Four there, giving up the dominant position! Four wants to sweep here but LaPlaguea controlling him for the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Four trying to keep a closed guard but LaPlaguea is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Four looking to sweep here. No luck so far. LaPlaguea trying to control but Four is working from the bottom. Four tries to land a sweep but no joy. Four had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. LaPlaguea is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Four Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take LaPlaguea's back instead. Four is throwing shots to the body but LaPlaguea manages to wriggle free. Four pounces on him again and ends up in LaPlaguea's guard. Tea Four overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. LaPlaguea looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Four closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. LaPlaguea is looking to reverse the position. Four just content to control the position. LaPlaguea pushes Four away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Four gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Four wants to lay and pray for a moment but LaPlaguea keeps working. LaPlaguea is looking to reverse the position. Four decides to stand up, so the ref orders LaPlaguea to his feet. Four shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Four was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! LaPlaguea tries to get back to half guard but can't. Four goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now LaPlaguea is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. LaPlaguea throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Four works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Four wants to sweep but no luck. LaPlaguea loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. LaPlaguea lands a couple of decent looking shots. Four looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Four working a defensive guard here.
Four manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. LaPlaguea manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Four has gone for a leg lock! LaPlaguea slips out almost immediately though and dives into Four's guard. LaPlaguea won't allow Four to sweep him here. Four pulls LaPlaguea in close to prevent any damage. Four looking for submissions from the bottom but instead LaPlaguea passes into side control.

Tea Four dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Four fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches LaPlaguea on the side of the head. Four gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and LaPlaguea counters with a nice low kick that buckles Four's knee momentarily. LaPlaguea shoots and misses and Four counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Four misses with a head shot. LaPlaguea uses the momentum to regain guard. LaPlaguea keeping full guard, as Four tries to pass. Four trying to control but LaPlaguea is working from the bottom. LaPlaguea manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Four is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. LaPlaguea takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Four tries to reverse the position but LaPlaguea maintains control. LaPlaguea working the ground and pound effectively.
Four gets back to half guard. Four looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. LaPlaguea trying to control the action but Four is working from the bottom. Four is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of LaPlaguea's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take LaPlaguea's back! Four looking for the RNC. Four is not going to allow LaPlaguea to sit and survive in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. LaPlaguea staying busy and making it hard for Four to control. Four is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. LaPlaguea defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Four controlling the position well here. LaPlaguea rolled but Four kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. LaPlaguea with a flurry of punches that miss. LaPlaguea is standing up over Four. Four looks to escape but LaPlaguea dives into side control.
Four is trying to improve his position. LaPlaguea creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Four sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Four is looking for a sweep. Four is working hard here to advance position. LaPlaguea tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no LaPlaguea has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Four regains half guard. Four wants to get back to full guard but LaPlaguea has passed into side control. LaPlaguea unloading with bombs!
Four is rocked!
It looks like Tea Four has been cut. LaPlaguea in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Andy LaPlaguea has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Oh Four is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. LaPlaguea throws some wild stikes that Four manages to avoid easily.
Four wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by LaPlaguea.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. LaPlaguea throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Four because LaPlaguea loaded up on that one. Four holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as LaPlaguea tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Andy LaPlaguea. I think Four has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
