Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonty Underwood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jos Rodri!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodri gets a double leg takedown into Underwood's guard.
Underwood seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Underwood had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rodri defends it easily.

Underwood is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rodri is aware though and is defending well.
Rodri pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Underwood is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Underwood has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rodri can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Underwood looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rodri should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Rodri trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Underwood has his foot on Rodri's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rodri works his way back into a safe position though.
Rodri would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Underwood avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Underwood is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rodri trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Underwood has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rodri is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Underwood.
Underwood is breathing heavily.
Rodri wants to lay and pray for a moment but Underwood keeps working.
Rodri might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Underwood haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Underwood is looking to regain half guard here but Rodri keeps moving and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The ground and pound from Rodri seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Underwood is not content to let Rodri control the position.
Rodri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Underwood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Underwood is looking for a sweep.
Underwood on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Underwood tries to get out of the position.
Rodri is looking to take a break and control but Underwood is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Underwood manages to get back to half guard.
Rodri wants to control but Underwood is keeping him busy.

Rodri is looking for a kimura here.
Underwood is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rodri's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rodri's back!

Underwood is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Rodri won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Underwood off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jonty Underwood!
