Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Ronson!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronson looks to land a combination but Waters avoids it well.
Ronson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Waters.

Waters shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Waters prevents Ronson from improving his position.
Ronson keeps trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Waters cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Waters is really struggling to control Ronson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Ronson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Waters.
Waters unloads with some shots from mount but Ronson bucks and avoids them well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ronson tries to hold on but Waters postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Waters throwing strikes here but Ronson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Ronson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cesar Waters dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Waters misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ronson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Ronson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Waters on his heels. He'll look to pass Waters's guard now, I'm sure.
Waters is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ronson can do to turn this around?

It looks like Cesar Waters has been cut.
Waters shoots in for a takedown but Ronson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
No joy there for Ronson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ronson drives through with a takedown into Waters's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Waters's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Ronson has his foot on Waters's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Waters works his way back into a safe position though.
Ronson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Waters chips away with some ground and pound.

Waters drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ronson dives on top into guard.

Ronson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waters keeps working.

Ronson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Ronson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ronson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Waters knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Waters wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ronson throws a nice looking combination but Waters bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ronson throws a lazy head kick
and Waters counters with a three punch combo that has Ronson backing up. Ronson nods at Waters to acknowledge the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Ronson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Ronson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Waters tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ronson is in Waters's guard.

Ronson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Waters is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Waters is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Poor strikes thrown by Ronson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Ronson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Ronson feints and as Waters raises his hands in defense, Ronson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Waters is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ronson dives into side control.

Ronson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Waters is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Waters is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ronson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ronson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Ronson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Waters, who protects the arm well.
Waters wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mark Ronson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ronson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
