The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russinski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Tarek Russinski dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Russinski throws an overhand right that lands on Andrews's shoulder, as Andrews tries to avoid the shot.

Russinski pulls Andrews in close to prevent any damage.
Andrews trying to control the position from guard on top but Russinski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Andrews drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Andrews jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Russinski has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Andrews scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Andrews tries for a kimura but Russinski is defending well.

Andrews is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Russinski has escaped the position, nice work there.

Andrews tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Andrews has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Andrews wants to lay and pray for a moment but Russinski keeps working.

Andrews is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Russinski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Andrews goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Russinski rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Andrews's guard! Nice work there by Russinski!

Andrews working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Russinski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Russinski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Andrews shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Russinski defends it nicely.
Andrews is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Russinski! But no joy.

Russinski throws out a counter right but Andrews avoids it with no problem.
Russinski feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Andrewss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

As Russinski tries to get set, Andrews tries to push him back and clinch up but Russinski manages to avoid the attempt.

Tarek Russinski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Andrews stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Russinski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Andrews moves nicely into side control.

Andrews tries to advance to mount but Russinski denies him.

Andrews is working to tighten his grip on Russinski's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Russinski has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Andrews is really squeezing tight and eventually Russinski passes out! Andrews breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
