The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelico throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Buchanan was covering up waiting for the punch and Angelico finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Angelico slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Buchanan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Angelico is controlling him.
Angelico gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Angelico shoots and misses
letting Buchanan counter with a right hand.
Angelico shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Buchanan's guard.

Buchanan has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Angelico is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Angelico pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Buchanan cracks Angelico with an open hand slap.
Buchanan fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
