Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rex Eaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krispy Kreme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rex Eaton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Krispy Kreme!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreme shoots in looking for a takedown. Eaton tries to sprawl out of it but Kreme keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Eaton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice sprawl there from Eaton as Kreme shoots in.

Kreme moves into range and clinches up with Eaton.

Kreme pulls guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kreme can do anything to dispel that myth.
Eaton trying to control but Kreme is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Eaton is trying to push Kreme away but Kreme has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Eaton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kreme misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Eaton is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kreme.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kreme tries to break free but Eaton pushes him back against the cage.
Eaton lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Eaton fails to pull guard.
Kreme trying to land knees to the body.
Eaton goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Eaton is looking to control Kreme's arms but Kreme gets an underhook and turns him. Now Eaton has his back to the cage.
Eaton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Eaton prevents the takedown attempt.

Eaton wants to break free but Kreme has control.

Kreme throws a right and a left that both miss.
Eaton tries to counter with a takedown but Kreme is quick to defend against it.
Kreme fails with the takedown.
Kreme changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eaton tries to avoid it but Kreme manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eaton to the ground. Eaton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Eaton appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Eaton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kreme has Eaton pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Eaton manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Eaton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kreme just stands there and leans against the cage.

Eaton wants to control from the top but Kreme keeps moving.
Kreme looking to control.
Eaton is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Kreme looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Eaton puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kreme is looking to improve his position.
Kreme trying to hold on to Eaton's head to control him but Eaton postures up.
Eaton trying to control from Kreme's half guard. Kreme has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Kreme has control of Eaton's left arm, preventing Eaton from doing any damage.

Kreme has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Eaton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kreme.

Eaton looks up at the clock and then as Kreme takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Eaton smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kreme is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Kreme can't do much from the bottom here.
Kreme is not content to let Eaton control the position.
Kreme is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Eaton asserts his dominance and retains side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Eaton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kreme is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kreme dodges the ground and pound from Eaton.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kreme is not content to let Eaton control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Eaton pushes Kreme away with a front kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Eaton tries to close the distance and clinch but Kreme swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kreme shoots in looking for a takedown but Eaton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kreme's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kreme tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Eaton swivels and escapes.
Eaton is looking to counter the offense by Kreme and move into the clinch.
Krispy Kreme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kreme shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Eaton defends it nicely.
Kreme takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kreme closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kreme wants to get back to striking at distance but Eaton won't allow it.

Eaton tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kreme's elbow.
Kreme tries to break the clinch but Eaton is controlling the position.
Kreme wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Eaton has him pressed against the cage.

Eaton is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Maybe Eaton would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

Kreme tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kreme gets control of Eaton's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kreme will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kreme is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kreme is looking for a triangle but Eaton pushes his legs off easily.
Eaton missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Eaton is stalling in the full guard.
Eaton is fighting to break Kreme's control of his arms but Kreme is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Eaton gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rex Eaton.
I think Eaton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
