Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and January Kwiecinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwiecinski lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Stevens fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kwiecinski appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Stevens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kwiecinski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stevens is fending him off so far but Kwiecinski persists. Nope, Stevens circles away and we're back to standing.
Stevens looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stevens takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Stevens has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Stevens moves into the clinch successfully.

Kwiecinski throws an elbow that misses. Stevens uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kwiecinski's guard. Nice move by Stevens!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stevens accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stevens has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Stevens tries to free his leg and advance position but Kwiecinski is retaining full guard.
Stevens looking to sit in guard and control but Kwiecinski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Stevens might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kwiecinski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stevens. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stevens working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kwiecinski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kwiecinski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kwiecinski is posturing up here but Stevens has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kwiecinski tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kwiecinski has to tap! Slick submission there by Stevens!
