Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and eugen trevas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
trevas shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Silva scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
trevas is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Silva decides to stand up, so the ref orders trevas to his feet.
trevas misses with a takedown
and Silva counters by moving into the clinch.
trevas wants to break the clinch but can't.
Silva has had enough of the clinch but trevas keeps him there for the moment.
The is referee keeping an eye on trevas - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Silva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. trevas just stands there and leans against the cage.

trevas has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Silva off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
eugen trevas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jose Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of eugen trevas.

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

trevas wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but trevas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has trevas in his guard.
Silva is breathing heavily.
trevas lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. trevas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
trevas wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
trevas is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

trevas is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

trevas pushes Silva off and scrambles back to his feet.

Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Silva is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. trevas locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Silva is forced to tap!
