0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kieran Mistry! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khasbulaev misses the shot to the body. Khasbulaev sets himself, and Mistry steps forward looking for the clinch! Khasbulaev avoids it this time. Mistry pushes Khasbulaev up against the cage in a clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Mistry just leaning against Khasbulaev, taking a breather. With the fighters up against the cage, Mistry throws an elbow but misses. Mistry pressing his opponent against the cage. Khasbulaev lands a hook that snaps the head of Mistry backwards. Mistry tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mistry takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Mistry prevents Khasbulaev from breaking the clinch. Khasbulaev has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Khasbulaev tries to break the clinch but Mistry is controlling the position. Khasbulaev swings wildly with an uppercut but Mistry uses good head movement to avoid it. Mistry lands a nice shot to the body.

Magomedrasul Khasbulaev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Khasbulaev's corner calls for a 1-2. Khasbulaev obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mistry has managed to clinch.

A little jabbing left from Mistry on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Khasbulaev misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mistry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Khasbulaev, as that shot connected.

and Mistry counters with a stiff right hand. Mistry darts in and clinches Khasbulaev up against the cage. Khasbulaev is trying to break free. Khasbulaev is looking to break free of the clinch but Mistry has double underhooks. Stalling in the clinch from Mistry.
With the fighters up against the cage, Mistry throws an elbow but misses. Khasbulaev managing to block the knees to the body from Mistry.
Still in the clinch, Mistry scores with a nice short uppercut. Khasbulaev blocks an elbow strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Magomedrasul Khasbulaev will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
